Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check their submissions' compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors who do not comply with these guidelines.

  3. General Guidelines for Manuscript
    The general guidelines for manuscript manuscripts are as follows:
  • Manuscripts are authentic research results that have never been published in other publications or publishers
  • The manuscript does not contain elements of plagiarism. Editors will immediately reject texts that indicate plagiarism.
  • Manuscripts that have been written in JPIM at the Islamic University of Lamongan (in MS Word format, use this article template) must be submitted via the Online Submission System using the Open Journal System (OJS) in the E-journal JPIM (https://jurnalekonomi.unisla.ac.id/index.php/jpim/index) select only one procedure. Then, register as an author or reviewer at the bottom of the Register.
  • Manuscript article writing guidelines and templates can be downloaded. Article writing templates and guidelines are available in MS Word (.doc) format.
  • Manuscripts for online submissions can be found in the online submission guidelines section below.
  • Manuscripts that do not comply with the guidelines for writing JPIM, Lamongan Islamic University will be returned to the author before the review process.
  • Manuscripts must contain several aspects of scientific articles as follows: (subtitles in order), namely: (a) article title, (b) author's name (without academic degree), (c) author's affiliated address, (d) author's email (e) ) abstract and keywords, (f) introduction, (g) research method (h), research results and discussion (i), conclusion (j), references.
  • Subtitles are included in the discussion section (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusions). Subtitles are written in bold and capital letters. It uses left text alignment without underline. Subsequent expanded subtitles must be in bold and uppercase, using left text alignment. Manuscripts must consist of six (6) to fifteen (15) pages including figures and tables. Script text should be written as this article template in camera-ready mode. Articles are written on A4 size paper (210x297 mm), with the following special margins: left 30 mm, right 20 mm, bottom 30 mm, and top 30 mm.
  • The article text must be Times New Roman, font size 12pt, spaced 1 line.
  • Words from foreign languages or foreign languages are written in Italic format. For articles in Indonesian, foreign terms or words should be avoided. Each paragraph starts 10mm from the left side border while there is no space between paragraphs. All numbers are written in Arabic numbering format, except for new sentences.
  • Tables and figures are placed in text groups after the referenced table or figure. Each image must be captioned (Image Caption) below the image and numbered in Arabic numbering format followed by the image title. Each table must be given a table title (Table Caption) and numbered in Arabic numbering format above the table followed by the table title. Image attachments must be guaranteed to be printed properly (font size, resolution, and line spacing are clearly visible). Images, tables, and charts should be centered between groups of text. If it has a larger size, it can be placed in the center of the page. The table must not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are only allowed for important points.
  1. Body Text Guidelines
    Title of manuscript: The title should be informative and written in a concise and clear manner. Cannot have multiple interpretations. It must be appropriate to the problem to be discussed. The initial word is written in capital letters and is symmetrical. The article title does not contain unusual abbreviations. The main idea should be written down first and followed by an explanation. Article titles must be written in twelve words, 14pt font size, in bold and in centered text format. While the abstract must be written in a maximum of 250 words and followed by three to five keywords.

Introduction: The introduction should contain (briefly and sequentially) the general background and state of the art as the basis for new research questions, statements of new scientific articles, main research problems, and hypotheses. At the end of the introduction, the purpose of writing the article should be stated. In the format of scientific articles, it is not allowed to write references such as in research reports. They should be represented in the literature review to indicate a brand new scientific article.

Research Methods: Methods applied to solve problems, including analytical methods. The methods used in solving research problems are described in this section.

Discussion and Results: This section consists of the research results and how they were discussed. The results obtained from the research must be supported by adequate data. Research results and findings must be the answers or research hypotheses that have been stated previously in the introduction.

Conclusion: This is the last section which contains conclusions and suggestions. The conclusion will be the answer to the hypothesis, research objectives, and research findings. Conclusions should not only contain repetition of results and discussion. Must be a summary of research results as expected by the author in the research objectives or hypotheses. Suggestions contain suggestions related to further ideas from the research.

References: All references used in the article should be listed in this section. In this section, all references used must be taken from primary sources (scientific journals and at least 80% of all references). Each article must have at least twenty references.

  1. The Guidelines for the Citations and References
    All the served data or quotes in the article taken from the other authors articles should attach the reference sources. The references should use a reference application management such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero. The writing format that is used in Jurnal Sistem dan Manajemen Industri follows the format applied by the IEEE style.

  3. Online Manuscript Submission Guidelines
    Manuscripts must be submitted by one of two systems (second procedure submitted is preferred):
  4. Documents submitted by the Online Submission System in the E-journal portal of the Industrial Management and Systems Journal HERE.
  5. First, the author must register as an author or reviewer (check the role as author or reviewer) in Register or HERE.
  6. After the registration step is complete, login as author, click New Submission. The article submission stage consists of five stages, namely: (1). Start, (2). Posts Upload, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Additional Files, (5). Confirmation.s
  7. In the Start column, select Journal Section (Full Article), tick all the checklists.
  8. In the Upload Submission column, upload the manuscript file in MSWord format in this column.
  9. In the Enter Metadata field, fill in all the author and affiliation data. Includes Journal Title, Abstract and Indexing Keywords.
  10. In the Upload Supplementary Files column, authors are allowed to upload complementary files, statement letters, or others.
  11. In the Confirmation column, if the data you have entered are correct, then click Finish Submission.
